The place of dreams - beautiful forest, sandstone towers sticking out wherever you look, clear lakes - awesome! Adršpach was the first highline stop of my summer trip, highlining everyday for a week and waterlining in the evening was amazing but definitely needed to recover for a few days afterwards. A week later I was back in Ostrov where I had walked my first European highlines a few months earlier  - already I could see the improvement playing on the lines i'd found difficult before and trying even more challenging ones!

I do like to challenge my self a lot in highlining so in Adršpach when someone suggested that we rig this 60m line on Sonic with no pulley system I though it was a good idea! It was a nice easy rig of a tree and a boulder, or so we thought - as Dan was taping the line the boulder started wobbling side to side - not a good sign. Better rig to something else - a small tree might work?

The first tries on this line it seemed pretty impossible standing up everything moved I couldn't control this line but the feeling was amazing. I spent several days trying this line with it becoming more controllable each time. Seeing good highliners finding it difficult and good highliners walking it was good inspiration. By the end I was battered and bruised but progression was made and I knew in my mind that lines like this would be possible soon!
