Into the Mountains
Part of the enjoyment of highlining for me is the beautiful and inspiring places it takes you to. On many of these highlines I couldn't help but stop walking and look around, look down and take in the space around me. I started in the south of France, Gorge du Verdon then hitchhiked up to Switzerland to spend some days in the mountains. Then a tour through the Swiss Alps for waterlines and midlines - Gotthard pass was a highlight for me, highlining in the moonlight. Then on to the Dolomites, such and amazing place all the rock I could see everywhere I would love to go and climb - there will be some amazing alpine highline projects in there for sure. And last stop the Bavarian Alps in south Germany so many lines on just one mountain!
Exposure67, Kreuzberg, Switzerland2 hours walking, scramble up a hill, 2 pitches climbing - for an amazing line. I can see Germany, Switzerland, Lichtenstein and Austria, not bad! | Exposure67Is that the sun peaking through the clouds? | Exposure67 |

Exposure67 was my favourite highline of the trip. The area, the intesity of rigging and the company made it an amazing experience. The first day was spend hiking up gear, climbing the towers and rigging the line in the clouds - I know there is an amazing view down there....the line is nearly up just needs tensioning, I'm waiting at the second anchor to slide across - and there it is, the sun shining down on the other tower! I'm getting pretty cold waiting to cross I wish I was in that sun - its ready but oh look the sun has already gone down! Oh well a quick go on the highline will warm me up before its totally dark! The feeling on the line was so amazing after the day it took to set it up. The next day sessioning the line was so fun - a new webbing for me that was loose and stretchy I was walking well and loved the whole experience!
